021 The Euro Problem

The Future of the Euro
Friday, March 14, 2014: 11:00 AM-12:45 PM
Blue Room (Omni Shoreham)
The Euro Problem” is the first of three panels of this mini-symposium on the Future of the Euro and will address lessons from past (and failed) experiments in monetary union, the specific economic and financial dynamics of Europe’s monetary union, and the particular role of existing or missing institutions. In other words, the three papers on this panel will all look at one aspect of the Eurozone that in some ways has been 'forgotten.' McNamara's paper deals with 'forgotten embeddedness,' Jones' paper addresses the 'forgotten financial union,' while Jabko's paper looks at the 'forgotten economic government.'
