Saturday, March 15, 2014: 9:00 AM-10:45 AM
Council (Omni Shoreham)
This panel examines transformations in the nature of warfare, militaries, and intelligence and policing agencies in the aftermath of World War II.  Papers address changes in the German domestic and foreign intelligence agencies, the composition of European soldieries, and the ways in which these changes affect decision-makers' understanding of the contemporary security environment.  In making their argument, panelists draw on the traditions of history, sociology, international relations, and military strategy.
