Nomadic Subjects in 21st Century Iberian Culture
Thursday, July 9, 2015: 2:00 PM-3:45 PM
J201 (13 rue de l'Université)
This session will examine the ways in which the contact between indigenous and migrant subjects has altered traditional notions of identity and the ‘ownership’ of cultural and economic capital in contemporary Iberia, creating a “range of new, alternative subjectivities . . . In the shifting landscapes of advanced capitalism and its global diasporas” (Braidotti 244).
