This panel brings together a number of papers examining the incidence of electoral irregularities in Eastern European

elections. The contributions of the paper both examine the variation in the types of irregularities that occur during elections,

distinguishing between vote-buying and intimidation and the types of voters that are subjected to these irregularities.
