The Many Voices of Europe: Contemporary Literature of Migration

Papers focus on the current refugee crisis in Europe and its reflection in works by writers and intellectuals. If in early research of migration the 1970’s and 1980’s emphasis was given to questions of assimilation/integration, the current crisis has broaden this perspective and turned attention to physicality of border crossing and the power of nation states to controlling refugee bodies.
